“In 1945, with no homes to return to, Jewish refugees by the tens of thousands set out for Palestine. Those who made it were hunted as illegals by the British mandatory authorities there and relied on the underground to shelter them; taking fake names, they blended with the population, joining the wildly different factions fighting for the independence of Israel. CITY OF SECRETS follows one survivor, Brand, as he tried to regain himself after losing everyone he’s ever loved.”
This is O’nan’s first thriller. I will be posting a Q&A with O’nan in about a week. He’s certainly done his homework here. He is such a versatile writer. I can’t wait to begin reading this one.
I have one copy of CITY OF SECRETS to give away thanks to the generosity of the nice people at Viking publishing. So, please leave a comment below to enter my giveaway. And, good luck. I will choose one winner on Monday, May 16. Only U.S. addresses, please. And no P.O. boxes. Good luck!
I am always interested in reading about Holocaust survivors. I am Jewish and I lost a lot of family members in the Holocaust. I hope I win this book. Thanks.
This sounds like a very powerful novel. Thanks for the giveaway.
Interesting to read O’Nan in a different genre

Sounds like a great read
This book sounds intriguing! I haven’t read a thriller in a long time!
Meaningful and profound. Thanks for this fascinating giveaway. Being Jewish this is unforgettable.
Sounds interesting.
I have read other novels by this author and they were wonderful. This book sounds fabulous. Thanks.
This would be interesting to read as my father-in-law was in the British military and stationed in Palestine during WWII.
Am totally fascinated with this genre. Would love to win it!
A compelling book and a talented author. What a treasure.
Another great review for your readers – thanks for the give-away.
I’d love to win this. Thank you for the opportunity.
I just finished The Nigtengale and Liliac Girls. This looks like a good follow to those novels.

Pick me, pick me… please. 🙂
Wow, I’ve never read a book like this before, it sounds like quite an experience. It’s certainly an angle I’ve never read when it comes to Holocaust survivors.
