Almost There

Well folks, we should be back in the house in another couple days. Not one second too soon. Cats are edgy. Wyatt especially is over the camping life.

Walls inside our home are now painted a lovely rich ivory. Looks amazing with 5 inch baseboards. Everything is dusty and furniture is moved all over house. In other words it’s a wreck.

We are so grateful for Mario and his crew for their hard work. So many people are still looking for a contractor. And without our friend Richard none of this would be happening.

I am anxious to move back into house and get internet hooked back up. And to stop running back and forth.

I’d love to hear what you’re reading and how you feel about it. I’m almost finished with DEMON COPPERHEAD. The final verdict is not yet in. I’m on the fence…

Next time you hear from we will be back in house.

  1. I’m happy to hear this good news for you Jean. However so sorry you had to endure this upheaval with your house and the shingles too. So glad things are improving.
Our book club is looking forward to seeing here in Estero in January.

  2. Hi Jean, I sent you an email earlier confirming our scheduled talk with the Seminole Lakes Book Club in Punta Gorda on March 1, 2023, but I never heard a reply from you. I know things are topsy turvy for you, but I am hoping you can still come to talk to our group. Can you please email me to confirm. Thank you

  3. I’m so sorry for all that has happened to you but so glad you will soon be back in your home. I just downloaded Murder on the vine ! Thanks for all of your recomendations!

  4. Hi Jean
I was wondering if you could give me your contractors contact information. My boyfriends home on Sanibel was very severely damaged and he is desperate to find a contractor. He can’t seem to find anyone that’s willing to come and do work.

  5. I’m just finishing Demon Copperhead too amd I’m also on the fence about it. I know I preferred The Poisonwood Bible if I had to choose. I really hoping for a positive ending.

  6. Just finished Last Summer Boys and The Latecomer. Two very different books. LSB takes place in rural PA in 1968 and is an easy picturesque read! Enjoyable.
Latecomers is a long read with a lot of detail. Written beautifully and worth the time spent.

  7. Glad to hear you’re ready to move back in your home. I’m sure it was a trying situation.
I just finished a Nicholas Sparks book, Every Breath. A much lighter reading, but I think one of his better books. Before that, I read The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict. Really liked this book, based on facts of a woman passing for white. And then there is Vacationland by Meg Mitchell Moore. Another book I highly recommend.
