Maurice’s Favorite Books 2015

I have a big list of favorites this year! Each one of these brings something special to the table. They are all really well written. And they each tell totally unique stories.  Do I have a favorite? I’ll really have to think about that. Here they are in no special order.

  • CIRCLING THE SUN by Paula McLain
  • THE NIGHTINGALE by Kristin Hannah
  • ALONG THE INFINITE SEA by Beatriz Williams
  • THE JAPANESE LOVER by Isabel Allende
  • THE SUNRISE by Victoria Hislop
  • OUR SOULS AT NIGHT by Kent Haruf
  • THE MURALIST by B.A. Shapiro
  • DID YOU EVER HAVE A FAMILY by Bill Clegg
  • A SPOOL OF BLUE THREAD by Anne Tyler
  • MRS. SINCLAIR’S SUITCASE by Louise Walters
  • THE SEVEN SISTERS by Lucinda Riley
  • SEVEN LETTERS FROM PARIS by Samantha Verant (memoir)
  • THE SUMMER’S END by Mary Alice Monroe
  • THE CHILDREN’S CRUSADE by Ann Packer

All of the above are wonderful. Some are lighter than others. But I loved them all!

I have already had the pleasure of reading advance copies of some upcoming novels. You are in for such a treat this coming season. Each year gets better and better.

Happy New Year to all you readers. Thanks so much for your comments this year. And happy reading throughout this upcoming year. Cheers!

  1. Thanks for the list Jean. I have read all but three. Looking forward to seeing you at Barnes and nobles and at Palmira in February. Happy and healthy New a Year! Diane Sutta
