Frances Mayes is famous for her memoirs of Tuscany. Her UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN is a legend. UNDER MAGNOLIA is also a memoir, just not set in Tuscany. It’s set in the deep south. I can’t wait to finish this one.
HOME SWEET ANYWHERE by Lynne Martin will have your heart singing. It will also take you around the world to amazing locales. And you will so enjoy Lynne’s voice as she tells you how she and her husband gave up their home and set off for exotic temporary homes in Morocco, South America, Turkey, France, Portugal, and England. What a divine read for the summer. Review to come soon.
With a cover like this one, LOVERS AT THE CHAMELEON CLUB, PARIS 1932 by Francine Prose, is going to be a knockout.
You know I love everything French, and this one is witty and fun and just amazing.
THE MIDNIGHT ROSE by Lucinda Riley will keep you up at night. Following her amazing book THE ORCHID HOUSE, she has outdone herself. I will be reviewing this one for the paper. Look for it to come in a couple weeks.
